Your Security and Privacy
Google Workspace accounts at WMU are managed and administered by the Office of Information Technology. IT manages user account creation, deletion, restoration, authentication, and message delivery as well as technical capabilities and features of the Google Workspace system. IT may enable or disable features of the system as necessary to maintain functionality or provide additional levels of privacy and security. IT may not access or transfer ownership of your personal data except under circumstances that require legal or regulatory compliance or upon explicit request of an individual to provide technical support. See Google's Your Security and Privacy page for additional details.
University Policy and Google Workspace
Under the terms of WMU's agreement with Google, WMU continues to own its own data, so consequently, its security and privacy policies continue to apply to members of the WMU campus community using Google Workspace Core Apps.
