Western Michigan University has entered into an agreement with Google Inc. to provide the Google Workspace service to all WMU students, faculty, and staff. The use of Google's services is governed by University policies, and students/employees are obligated to abide by these rules, regulations, and policies while affiliated with the University. Use of IT resources provided to the University under a contract with an external provider such as this is also subject to the terms and conditions of the contract with the provider.
Core Apps (Between WMU and Google)
Core Apps are those apps covered by Western Michigan University's existing Google Workspace terms of service.
Consumer Apps (Between You and Google)
Several Consumer Apps, such as YouTube and Google Maps, have been enabled for use with your WMU account. These Consumer Apps are governed by a contract between you and Google.
Important notes about Consumer Apps
Enabling Consumer Apps requires you to agree to a Consumer Apps Terms of Service agreement the first time you log in to your Google Workspace account, regardless of whether or not you are going to use any of the Consumer Apps.
