Utilizing the Duo Mobile app is the preferred method for 2FA access to applicable WMU services but this requires you to have a smartphone. WMU recognizes that not everyone has a smartphone or tablet, therefore alternate 2FA methods are available.
Have a Cell Phone, but not a Smartphone?
If you do not have a smartphone or tablet but have a cell phone that can receive text messages, you can still set up 2FA. During 2FA activation, follow the instructions titled Using a Cell Phone (not a Smartphone). Once activation is complete, you can then request Duo passcodes via text message.
