Your Bronco NetID
A Bronco NetID is the Western Michigan University username granted to all WMU students, faculty and staff used for all major systems, including GoWMU, Elearning and W-Exchange. A Bronco NetID is used for all official WMU communication and access to online services offered through the GoWMU portal. A Bronco NetID provides access to services such as the following:
- Registering for classes
- Viewing grades
- Accessing financial account information
- Email, electronic file space, and personal Web space
- Registration for computers on wired and wireless networks.
Students obtain their Bronco NetID via email to their personal email address at the time they are admitted. Faculty and staff Bronco NetIDs are created automatically after Human Resources has processed the new hire information and can be retrieved from their supervisor.
Your Email Address
Your email address is generated at the time your account is created. It is in the format of first.lastname@wmich.edu for faculty and staff. The student format and the format used for faculty and staff who have the same first and last names as other faculty and staff is first.middleinitial.lastname@wmich.edu This is your official WMU email address and all official WMU communications will be sent to you at this address.
