There are various settings that can be managed: add attachments, dates and restrictions, linking to a grade item and number of file submissions.
Activity Details
Scroll down to view the Activity Details Section.
"Activity Details" allows you to:
- Set dates and restrictions
- Other options
- Publish or draft
- Add a grade item
Step 1 - Dates and restrictions
- Click "Add" dates
- Start Date - Date visible for students to submit.
- Due Date - Flags assignments submitted late.
- End Date - Removes the visibility/ability to submit.
- Click "update" to save.
Step 2 - Options
- Click the drop down for each option and click to select various settings.
- Click "Update" to save.
Step 3 - Draft vs. Publish
- Select "Draft" state or "Publish" state
- Draft - Students will NOT be able to see the Dropbox. It is in Draft state.
- Publish - Students will be able to see the Dropbox beginning on the Start Date. *(If no start date is set it will appear immediately.)
Step 4 - Assessment - Assigning Point Value
- Points: Type in point value - make sure it matches grade item associated with Dropbox.
- Link to EXISTING gradebook item, Click "Drop Down" - Choose grade item to link to.

- Create NEW gradebook item, click plus sign to bring up a menu for creating a new item in the gradebook.
- Click "update" to save.
Step 5 - Review and View in Content
- Review Instructions & Activity Details
- Go to Content and associated Module to view the Dropbox in the content area.
