Classes and tags in ZipGrade are ways to keep your information sorted for each course that you teach. It allows for organization and easier searching in the application.
Part I - Creating and Adding Classes
Classes can be used to sort items that belong to the same class section. An example might be quizzes and exams that the same section will be taking.
Step 1 - Navigate to the Classes Tab
Step 2 - Click "New"
Step 3 - Create the Class
Fill in the name of the course, then click "Create Subject".
Step 4 - Navigate to the Quizzes Tab
Tags cannot be created from the "Tags" tab, only viewed there. Tags are created as we fill out the details of a quiz.
Step 5 - Select Quiz you wish to Add a Class
Step 6 - Edit Quiz Details
Click the pencil in the top right to edit the quiz details.
Step 7 - Select Class from Classes Area
In the Classes area will be a list of your classes. Click on the class you wish to add this quiz to. A check mark will indicate that the class is selected.
Click "Done" to finish adding the class to the quiz.
Part II - Creating and Adding Tags
Tags are ways to group alike items into categories that may fall outside of a class section.
Step 1 - Navigate to the Quizzes Tab
Tags cannot be created from the "Tags" tab, only viewed there. Tags are created as we fill out the details of a quiz.
Step 2 - Select Quiz to Tag
Select the quiz you wish to tag from your list of quizzes
Step 3 - Edit Quiz Details
Click the pencil in the top right to edit the quiz details.
Step 4 - Click + to Open Tag Creator
Step 5 - Create the Tag
Type a name for your tag, then click "Create".
Step 6 - Confirm Tag has Been Added to Quiz
Once you click "Create" the tag will be added to the quiz. Click "Done" to finalize tagging the quiz.
To remove a tab, click on the tag in the "Quiz Tagging" box and it will disappear.
*Note: Tags will now appear in the "Tags" tab and can be added to quizzes at any time.
