The OIT Project Management Office provides various services to the University community.
The Project Management Office will provide advice and consultation on project management methodologies and practices to any WMU affiliate regardless of the type of project.
The Project Management Office manages key, strategic projects for the Office of Information Technology and will manage technology projects for other divisions, colleges or departments upon the authorization of the Chief Information Officer. The project manager will use the full life-cycle methodology and processes described above for every project managed.
OIT project managers may manage programs, which is a series of two or more interrelated projects that must remain synchronized in order to balance human, financial, and technical resources successfully.
