Check your desk phone connection
- Check that the phone is properly connected.
- Instructions for CISCO VoIP phones.
- For older phone models, see Phone User Guides.
- Pick up the receiver to ensure it lights up and you have a dial tone.
- If the phone is still black and not responding, unplug the cable from the back of the phone and plug it back in.
- If there is no change, unplug the cable from the wall to the phone to see if the phone turns on and the phone gets a dial tone.

Call forwarding
If your phone is forwarded to another number, follow instructions to remove call forwarding.
