This article summarizes the features and functions of working with enterprise mail lists using the Mail List Manager (MLM). The MLM allows for the management of self-managed (static) lists and for viewing dynamic list membership. Read more about the differences between dynamic and static lists.

Features
Static list membership management
Static list owners can use the Mail List Manager to manage list recipients:
- On the MLM main screen, select the desired list. If you manage several lists, you can also type the name of the mail list into the Search field.
- Click the name of the mail list that appears after the search.
- Next to List Members, click Edit.
- Add or remove the desired recipients:
- To add a member, search by full name, Bronco NetID, email address, or last name. Once the recipient is found, select their name and click Add in the center column.
- To remove a member, search for their name in the Filter box. Once the recipient is found, select their name and click Remove in the center column.
- Once all changes have been made, click Save Changes.
Static list sender management
Static List owners can use the Mail List Manager to manage allowed senders to a list:
- On the MLM main screen, select the desired list. If you manage several lists, you can also type the name of the mail list into the Search field.
- Next to Allowed Senders, click Edit.
- Add or remove the desired recipients:
- To add a sender, search by full name, Bronco NetID, email address, or last name. Once the recipient is found, select their name and click Add in the center column.
- To remove a sender, search for their name in the Filter box. Once the recipient is found, select their name and click Remove in the center column.

List membership viewing
Anyone who can send to a mail list (static or dynamic) can use the Mail List Manager to see the list members:
- On the MLM main screen, select the desired mail list if it is shown or search for it using Search email and group lists.
- The MLM home screen only shows the mail lists you are an owner of, it won't list the mail lists that you can send to. To find those lists, use the search feature.
- If you manage several lists and would rather not scroll through all the lists you're an owner of, you can also type the name of the mail list into the Search field.
- After selecting a mail list, click Dynamic Details to see the specific members of the dynamic list. You may see multiple Dynamic Detail entries depending on the mail list. Next, an overlay box titled Current Members Dynamic list will appear, which will display the query code that's used to populate the list members as well as the current list members' names and email addresses.
Additional Notes
- Listed together in the List Members section are both "dynamic" and "static" entries if both exist. There may be multiple of each.
- The dynamic list is populated with the user accounts that meet the query code criteria at the time Dynamic Details is clicked. The system operates on real-time data. As such, it's possible that an update can occur at any moment and cause the membership to change, even while viewing the list membership. The Current Members Dynamic list display box won't dynamically change as the data source changes. The query will have to be run again to reflect any changes, i.e. having the display open won't automatically update if changes occur while the display is open.
- Due to its dynamic nature, checking dynamic list membership sometime after or before a list was mailed to could have different membership, i.e. it won't reflect who was sent to at the time the message was sent.
